This is the perfect recipe to showcase the superior flavor and texture of fresh stone-ground Turkey Red wheat!
Ingredients

1 ½ cups warm water
-
⅓ cup extra virgin olive oil
-
⅓ cup honey
-
2 tsp. salt
-
1 egg
-
1 Tbs. instant yeast
-
4 ¾ cups Heritage Turkey Red whole wheat flour
Directions
Wisk together water, oil, honey, salt, and the egg in a large mixing bowl.
Add in 2 cups flour and mix until just incorporated.
Add yeast and the remaining 2 ¾ cups flour and mix into a rough dough.
Knead with a dough hook until smooth for approximately 8-10 minutes. Dough will be stickier than traditional flour doughs.
Cover dough and let rise until doubled.
Shape dough into 16-20 small rolls and place two inches apart on a lined cookie sheet.
Let rolls rise again until doubled.
Bake rolls for 12-14 minutes at 375 degrees.
